What will be new in the restaurant Ou La La! for January 2009:

First, Lunch will no longer be served. We will be open only from 5 p.m to 9 p.m or until all diners are served and will still be closed on Thursday

   Second, I'm not moving again! the restaurant location is 400 meters from the gymnasium of los Naranjo; coming from Boquete take a left at the "Y".

   We are planning a Thai dinner some time in January but the date is not secured yet.  We will be organizing a wine tasting night as soon I receive a new shipment from Panama. If you are interested in either of those events, please send me an email and I will get you on the priority list  

Third, in association with some people in Chiriqui and Panamà, I am also planning to hold Boquete gastronomic discovery groups, which will include cooking, degustation, coffee tours and more... for out-of-Boquete people there will be hotel included in the group rate. This is all in the planning stage and not secure at this time. More information will be given when the itinerary program is complete. Our plans are to hold the groups in January and February in Spanish, but we can plan one or more in English if there is sufficient interest. We are currently projecting the price per person for the package, including hotel, will be $450; without hotel, $300. Again, more information will be published. Restaurant Ou La La! Menu for January 2009

Seafood Soup: tomato-based fish stock dotted with little clams and bites of fish, $6.00

Tomato and mozzarella salad: sliced tomato covered with mozzarella seasoned with balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil, $3.50

Homemade Pate de campagne : pork liver and meat seasoned with brandy and green pepper, $5.00

Tomato and anise soup: tomato base soup with an anise touch, $3.25

Mussel and Bell pepper salad: on bed of fresh green lettuce, $4.25

Escargot: classic garlic and butter baked snails, $5.25

  Trout jalapeño: fresh Boquete trout served with a creme jalapeño sauce, $11.00

Stuffed trout: oven-baked trout stuffed with a mix of mushrooms and spring onions, $12.00

 Chicken cordon bleu: classic chicken breast stuffed with ham and cheese covered with a creme sauce, $9.75

"Johan" sea bass: sea bass filet sauteed in olive oil, covered with onions and mushrooms, $10.00

Tropical fish filet: fish filet baked with a sauce of tropical fruit, $9.75

Red chicken pasta: light sauce of chicken and tomato over pasta, $9.25

Pork fricassee au champignons: pork cubed and sauteed with mushrooms and onion, deglazed stock and creme, $11.00

Andalusia rice: sauteed chicken, sausage, vegetables and seafood on perfumed rice, $10.25

Tenderloin beef a la mustard sauce: tender beef filet served with a creme mustard sauce, $13.25 

Bourguignon beef: traditional stew of slow cooked beef and carrot in wine, $12.00
